What is the Vintage Grand Prix?
We’re glad you asked! The Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix is the ONLY of its kind on the East Coast. It includes classic and historically significant cars and motorcycles, racing through a 2-mile course set on the beautiful streets of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. During the race, the City of Coatesville closes down the streets and downtown to allow spectators of all ages to enjoy this incredible event.

The Grand Prix kicks off with a party and ends with a race that history won’t forget!
Thursday, September 14th, 6 pm to 9 pm
The Grand PRIXview Party at Brooklawn. Kicking off the weekend is the Grand PRIXview Party that will take place at Brooklawn, just 15 minutes outside of Coatesville in Unionville. Join us at the historic residence of Grand Prix committee members, Crosby and Nancy Wood. You will also get a chance to see the classic cars up close before the race, meet the drivers, and enjoy socializing, light fare, cocktails, and entertainment at one of Chester County’s most storied historical estates! Get tickets.
Friday, September 15th, 6 pm to 9 pm
Coatesville Cruise-In. Friday Cruise-in FREE event featuring vintage cars, trucks, and special interest vehicles. The public is invited to cruise in their hot rods, and classic and restored cars, and can park their vehicles on Lincoln Highway between 1st and 4th streets where spectators can get an up-close look.
Saturday, September 16th
Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix. The Coatesville Invitation Vintage Grand Prix is the only event of this type, featuring vintage race cars and motorcycles from the early 1900s through the 1980s navigating a 2.2-mile course throughout the city streets of Coatesville. The Start/Finish line is located at 3rd and Lincoln Highway. The first group starts approximately at 9 am and each vehicle group runs in the morning and afternoon heat, concluding with an awards presentation at 4 pm! This event is FREE to spectators.
. . . and NEW this year is the Coatesville Vintage Auto/Moto Show.
The Coatesville Invitational Vintage Auto/Moto Show is a curated selection of eclectic cars and motorcycles that will showcase the uniqueness, build quality, rarity, racing heritage, and historical significance of the region’s finest rides. Join us in the Iron Eagle parking lot (1st and second blocks of Lincoln Highway leading up to Pit Row) on Saturday, September 16th from 9 am – 4 pm.
Fun for the Whole Family
The race isn’t the only fun to be had at the Grand Prix. There will also be local food and beverage vendors, newly opened restaurants, a sponsor’s VIP area, a beer garden, a Kid’s Zone, and a soap box derby to add to the day’s entertainment.
